Activities that are available all year:

 

All activities must be scheduled through our office by submitting a registration form.

 

Activities marked as “pre-arranged” require you to make prior arrangements with the direct contact listed in the activity explanation.  We ask that when pre-arranging an activity, please notify the Campus Fieldtrips Office by phone, email, or registration form so it can be added to your itinerary.

Birds of Prey: - Live demonstrations using rehabilitated, non-releasable raptors. **
 
Bookie: - Student Book Corporation - Have a tour then do a little shopping.
 
Botany Greenhouses: - Abelson Hall Greenhouse is 4000 square foot aluminum and glass rooftop facility occupying the seventh floor.
 
Chemistry Demonstration: **
 
Conner Museum Self Guided tour: - The museum displays over 700 mounts of birds and mammals. Ask about our educational scavenger hunts!
 
Dairy Center: (20 persons max)
 
Entomology Museum: - The museum houses over 1.25 million specimens of insects. (sorry, this event is not available during the summer) (30 persons max)
 
Ferdinand’s Ice Cream Pre-Ordering (pre-arranged): -Ferdinand's, Washington State University's gourmet ice cream shop, features old-fashioned ice cream and soda fountain treats, exclusive ice cream flavors and gourmet coffee and espresso drinks. Herbarium, The Marion Owenby: - has a collection of nearly 350,000 specimens from the Pacific Northwest and around the world.
 
Indoor Practice Facility:
 
Jacklin Collection: - Come see the fascinating world of Geology.
 
Libraries Tour: - Learning about the library is fun with a scavenger hunt!
 
Museum of Art: (Tour of current museum display)
 
Observatory: - this is available for overnight groups, on specific preset dates. (40 persons max)
 
Physics Demonstration: - Learn about Physics using ordinary objects. **
 
Planetarium: - Learn about planets, stars and galaxies in a sky tour. (50 persons max) **
 
Recycling & Compost Center: - Learn all about the process of recycling.
 
Shock Physics:
 
Student Recreation Center (pre-arranged): - The Student Recreation Center is one of the best in the nation! They strive to provide quality service to their patrons. To arrange a tour of the facility, please contact them directly at (509) 335-8732. If you plan on making a reservation, please indicate this on your registration form or contact the Campus Fieldtrips Office at (509) 335-2238 or fieldtrips@wsu.edu so it can be added to your itinerary.
