Payment, Refunds, & Scholarships
Camp Fee
The cost for attending Cougar Quest 2008 is $575. This camp fee includes: workshop instruction and supplies, supervision, a Cougar Quest t-shirt, name badge, recreational and evening activities, all-you-can-eat meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner, starting with dinner on the first day through lunch on the last day), snacks, shared residence hall room, linens, and additional nighttime supervision.
Registration Deposit
Registration REQUIRES a $100 deposit when registering through June 15, 2008. This deposit will be applied to the total cost of the camp. Campers have an option of making the full payment when completing the registration as well. Registrations after June 15th require payment of the full camp fee.
Final Payment
Due to limited space, final payments MUST be made by June 20, 2008.
Payment Options
We offer two (2) payment options:
- Credit card (VISA or Master Card): You must pay by credit card when registering on line. You may also pay by credit card when registering over the phone or by mail. Be sure to complete all credit card information on the application form.
- Check or Money Order: If registering by mail you may wish to pay by check or money order. Please include the name of the camper on the memo line and make checks payable to Cougar Quest.
To pay the camper's remaining balance, use this online payment page, call (509)335-1235 to make a payment over the phone, or mail a check/ money order to Cougar Quest, PO Box 641035, Pullman, WA 99164-1035.
Scholarships
Thank you for your interest in the Cougar Quest program. This will be the fourth year that Cougar Quest will be awarding partial scholarships to campers so they are able to attend this academic camp.
The student's family/guardian must prove they have need for assistance by submitting tax returns along with the scholarship application (pdf file below) and the Cougar Quest Registration Form by April 4, 2008 (received by this date).
For the past few years Cougar Quest has only offered two partial scholarships per year. We are passing this along to illustrate the competiveness of the scholarships.
The Cougar Quest registration application and scholarship application must be completed fully. Washington State University/Cougar Quest will hold in confidence all information submitted. Campers will be awarded partial scholarship based on families/guardians contribution. Cougar Quest's scholarship recipients may receive; a 75%, 50%, 25%, or 17.4% scholarship resulting in a $431.25, $287.50, $143.75, or $100.00 award. Refund Policies
In the event you must cancel your registration, you must submit a notice in writing (an e-mail is the most common way). Refunds will be issued in the same manner in which payment was made. Please also read the following concerning refunds:

Cancelling registration by June 18, 2008 will mean you will
receive a partial refund of $550 if payment was made in full,
or $75 if only a deposit was made. The $25 that is retained
by the office is an administrative fee for processing the
cancellation.
- Cancellations
after June 19, 2008 will not be eligible for a refund UNLESS
a doctor's note is provided proving illness or accident. Cancellations
due to personal reasons will not receive a refund.
- Cancellations
with an accompanying doctor's note after the 19th will receive
a partial refund of $550 if payment was made in full, or $75
if only a deposit was made. The $25 that is retained by the
office is an administrative fee for processing the cancellation.
- A
full refund will be given only if your first choice workshop
is cancelled by Summer Cougar Quest, and you do not wish to
participate in either your second or third workshop choices.
- Campers dismissed from camp, or who voluntarily withdraw from the camp WILL NOT receive a refund and will be expected to cover their transportation costs (ie: airline ticket change).
