101:
Understanding Horses from Head to Hoof |
|
Did you know the horse's knee (carpus) more closely resembles the human wrist than it does our own knee (patella)? You will be in horse heaven in this workshop as you make comparisons between horses and humans by examining the anatomy of each. During piece-by-piece anatomy lessons you will construct the skeletal and musculature of a horse. A close examination of the heart, lungs, and the hoof, will help you analyze how these majestic animals are built to run. Gaining this insight on horses move will be very useful for riding, training, and caring for horses. |
