Class Topics I'll Teach: Pathways to Academic Success (course for first year students), Explore (Help undecided second-year students select majors)
Research Interests: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, group therapy, mindfulness, survivors of trauma
Plans before CQ Begins: Finish my classes, go to a state I've never visited, and conquer my fear of heights by sky diving.
Interests/Hobbies: I love to read, especially books like Harry Potter and the Twilight Saga; I like to play the Wii, I love animals, and I really like trying new things!
Favorite Summer Memory: The most amazing family trip I had was the summer after sixth grade-- my family and I went to Puerto Rico, where I got to adopt a kitten that I brought back with me to Georgia.
Life Goal: I want to love what I do everyday.
About Me: I am a pretty indecisive person but I'm also passionate, which has provided me with a ton of opportunities. I'll decide that I like something and run full speed ahead pursuing it, until I see something else that is interesting, and then I move 100 miles per hour in that direction. I've learned things about myself along the way, and met amazing people. I started life wanting to be a ballet teacher and paleontologist, went to college as an animal science/ pre-vet major, and ended up majoring in psychology and criminal justice. I'm still not completely sure what I want to do, but I like everything I've tried so far. I try to approach life with an open mind, and that's what this class will be all about!
I love college football, reading good books, trying new things, and visiting new places. I have two kitties-- Diamond is a true diva, and Tonks is a fearless explorer. I lived in Georgia for twenty-one years, Montana for two years, and have been in Pullman for three years. I have no idea where I'll land next, but it should be a fun ride!
